Respectfully, this is not a competitive GPA at all, even for DO schools. Many DO matriculants are averaging in the mid 3.x, depending on the program. Every year it gets more competitive and comparable to MD. Also need a strong MCAT, scores <500 or even in the low 500s are just simply not competitive either.

It was only mentioned in last years guideline underneath the ‘competing the application section’. However after inspecting the 2022-2023 manual I literally could not find anything about this! I even tried using ctrl+find and entering the exact words but nope!

I believe VCOM will be, too, but not 100% sure yet. In any case, I highly recommend you to attend in-person interviews if at all possible. I submitted my AACOMAS to about 5 schools (LECOM, VCOM, PCOM, NYIT) and was verified on Monday. I submitted with a truly meh MCAT (490), an average GPA (cGPA 3.6, sGPA 3.5), but do have over 1000+ hours of patient care experience working as an MA.
