I think that this is combanation of two things: 1st - what YOu wrote already - Vigilante talents are more powerful than feats. 2nd - there is a lot of them and there is a possibilty to create broken things. It is not a Warlock though. There is an archetype for the Vigilante class called Warlock that gets 6th level spell casting, and can make 1d6 energy attacks at-will. There really isn't a class quite like the Warlock in Pathfinder. There are things that resemble Warlock abilities, like the Hex ability from the Witch class, but no true 3E Warlock. Overall the Investigator is similar to the rogue but fills a different niche. The rogue benefits from having as many attacks as possible while the Investigator can do very well with only one big attack. Alchemy Methodology can also be very potent.
