I really liked it, and then saw a used P229 in .40 at a local store and decided to buy it. The P229 felt better in hand and I really enjoyed shooting it. Fast forward 6 months, sold the 2022 and now have 3 P229’s in 9mm, .40, and .357 Sig.The feed ramp itself is 7mm wide. The actual contact surface to the Barrel shroud is only 3mm wide. The opening of the 124gr HST's are 5.3mm and the wall thickness is .87mm thick, while the Speer 147gr are 5.56mm with a 1.5mm blunt wall. Both had cycling issues but it seemed the Speer was the worse offender.

SIG's 2012 catalogue states (paraphrase) "smaller grip included" with gun. This would lead one to believe that the higher the number, the smaller the grip. Or maybe mine was reversed.
